Deadshot (Original Typeface)

The goal of this project was to create an original typeface with corresponding promotional poster. The decorative typeface has an Old West influence, with the term “Deadshot” being old cowboy slang for “strong liquor”. The glyphs were designed in Adobe Illustrator and imported into FontLab 5 where they were converted into a working TrueType font.

As with "Deadshot", the goal of this project was to create an original typeface with corresponding promotional poster. This typeface was created using red ink applied to Bristol Board with an eyedropper. The handwritten glyphs were then traced using Adobe Illustrator.

Rolling Stone Magazine

The goal of this project was to design a six-page spread for Rolling Stone Magazine. The article relates to the release of Johnny Cash's final studio recording, “American VI", which arrived more than six years after Cash’s death at 71. I was supplied only with the copy for this project.

Norton Publishing

The goal of this project was to create a book jacket for Joeseph Conrad’s classic novel “Heart of Darkness”. Differing from the original, the redesign better reflects the sense of adventure and mystery within the novel. I was supplied with only the copy for this project.
